PopTones are from Queens, NYC, 4 friends who hung out, laughed a lot, listened to Fripp/Eno/Bowie/Roxy/Zappa/Floyd/Sabbath etc, drank, smoked, wrote lyrics, and went into a basement every few days to record songs into a stereo-mic boombox. 1 guitar + effects + pignose amp, 1 bass guitar + tiny amp, and the world's shittiest drum set were the simplex setup, utilized by:

Tony Sz- guitar, bass
JeffG- guitar, bass
JM -drums, bass, guitar.

After 25-odd years of cassette tapes gathering dust, JeffG converted the tapes into mp3s for your listening pleasure.
